Willow

Simply Willow, Coming to the Simply Primitives
on September 1st.

Meet Willow she is a Queen Anne Style Pumpkin dolly and she is one like no other. She sleeps in a casket during the Autumn season. To find out why you will have to visit her and read her story. http://www.simplyprimitives.com/

I had a lot of fun taking Willows photo's. We took a walk out to the cemetery through the older section looking for just right spot. I love walking through cemeteries. There is just something about them that I have found out in the last few years that attracts a quite a few people. It is the older stones really that have a particular appeal to me.
I am curious to know how many of you are like me. please leave me a note if you wish and let me know what does or what doesn't attract you to them.

Have a wonderful and Blessed day,
Julie

p.s still no computer, but hope to have a new one soon.

Willow looks so serene in her final resting place.
There is great pleasure to be found walking amongst the tombstones in a cemetery. A place of solitude, history and appreciation for the past.
Have a great weekend Juli.

I love her and I especially love her BED!!! I found out that there's a company who makes custom motorcycle parts and the boxes they come in are wooden caskets! I can't for the life of me remember the name of the company, but I got one from a guy selling his at Halloween for practically nothing.

We used this casket to transform into a baby casket for the historic Whaley House Museum here in San Diego for Halloween (the family lost a baby).

I went back to the guy who sold it to me and he'd unfortunately moved...and there went my chance at getting more of these tiny coffins premade for future doll projects!

SO happy to see someone utilizing a casket for a doll!

As usual, your work is incredible!

I can't say I am fond of cemeteries, though I do remember taking a shortcut thru one while in college to get to town, but the doll is wonderful. She looks very authentic to the time period.
